Andrew J. Dierdorf has been named co-portfolio manager of Fidelity Freedom Funds, Fidelity Advisor Freedom Funds, Fidelity Freedom K Funds, VIP Freedom Portfolios, VIP Investor Freedom Portfolios, and VIP Freedom Lifetime Income Portfolios joining current co-portfolio manager Christopher L. Sharpe, and succeeding Jonathan A. Shelon. Dierdorf, a portfolio manager in Fidelity’s Global Asset Allocation Group, joined Fidelity in 2004. He will continue to co-manage Fidelity Freedom Index Funds, Fidelity Income Replacement Funds (retail and Advisor classes), Fidelity’s 529 College Savings Plans, Fidelity Global Strategies Fund (retail and Advisor classes) (formerly Fidelity Dynamic Strategies Fund), and Fidelity Four-In-One Index Fund. Prior to joining Fidelity, Dierdorf worked for CIGNA, where he held various actuarial and investment positions.
Christopher L. Sharpe has been named co-portfolio manager of Fidelity Freedom Index Funds, and Fidelity Income Replacement Funds (retail and Advisor classes), joining co-manager Dierdorf, and also succeeding Shelon. Sharpe will continue to co-manage the Fidelity Freedom Funds, Fidelity Advisor Freedom Funds, VIP Freedom Portfolios, VIP Investor Freedom Portfolios, VIP Freedom Lifetime Income Portfolios, Fidelity Freedom K Funds, and Fidelity’s 529 College Savings Plans. He also will continue to co-manage Fidelity Four-in-One Index Fund, Fidelity Series Broad Market Opportunities Fund, Fidelity Strategic Income Fund, Fidelity Advisor Strategic Income Fund, VIP Strategic Income Portfolio, Fidelity Strategic Dividend & Income Fund, Fidelity Advisor Strategic Dividend & Income Fund, as well as Fidelity Strategic Real Return Fund, Fidelity Advisor Strategic Real Return Fund, Fidelity Stock Selector All Cap Fund and Fidelity Advisor Stock Selector All Cap Fund (formerly Fidelity Advisor Dynamic Capital Appreciation Fund). A portfolio manager in Fidelity’s Global Asset Allocation Group, Sharpe joined Fidelity in 2002. Previously, he was investment policy officer in the Investment Strategy Group with John Hancock Financial Services, Inc., in Boston. From 1990 to 2000, Sharpe was a consultant and investment actuary with Mercer Human Resources Consulting, Inc., in Boston.
